404 DAO is excited to share that the web3 bootcamp we hosted in conjunction with Nucleo was a significant success! We helped students at Georgia Tech understand everything from the first principles and history of web3 space to he power of zero-knowledge proofs.

Day 1 and 2

On the first and second day, Matt Wyatt, the co-founder of Nucleo, broke down the basic and complex trends contributing to an increase in cryptocurrency popularity. Utilizing Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, he adequately explained why a stable currency is needed for human safety and in today's world, currencies should be seen as products.

At the end of day one, a famous discourse (
Voice vs. Exit
) was played where Balaji Srinivasan discussed how either a voice can be used to influence change within a system or it can be used to cause the system to be exited altogether.

Books are one of the largest distributors of knowledge. On day two, we discussed several books ranging from the history of money to the central banking system. Books such as The Alchemy of Finance by George Soros, Trillions by Robin Wigglesworth, and Ray Dalio’s Changing World Order were specific hits across the crowd.

We did this to demonstrate that if someone wants to learn more and contributing to the thriving and growing blockchain industry, the resources exist for them to do so.

Day 3

On day three, a workshop around the Origin of Internet Workshop was hosted, showcasing the growth of the internet across time and the inventions that have sprung up because of the internet.

Days 4-6

Over the next three days, the bootcamp focused on teaching the following topics:

• P2P Networking




• Blockchain Consensus Engines




• Incentives in the form of cryptocurrencies




• Native Assets




• Financialization




• Cryptography




• Blockchain Scaling

These topics were chosen because both experienced blockchain users and novices can learn from these topics and advance their understanding of the way blockchain technology works and how economies built on blockchain networks function.

Overall

The 6-Day Web3 Bootcamp was an astounding success and we are thrilled that we were able to continue to provide a source of information and knowledge for cryptocurrency enthusiasts, no matter how experienced.
